    If you have lost your certificate of completion, don't worry! You can access your certificate or generate a new one as long as you completed the course within the last 6 months.

  • What are the steps to becoming a notary in Pennsylvania?

    In Pennsylvania, you are required to complete the following steps to become a notary:

    Complete the mandatory 3-hour notary education course

    You must take a state-approved notary education course before proceeding to the next steps.

    Submit your notary application to the Department of State

    Include your course completion certificate with your application.

    Await application approval

    Once your application is approved by the Department of State, you will receive instructions on how to proceed.

    Schedule and take the Pennsylvania Notary Exam

    After approval, you can schedule your state exam to complete the process.

  • Do I need to complete the course before taking the Notary Exam?

    Yes, in Pennsylvania, you are required to complete a mandatory 3-hour notary education course before you can take the Notary Exam. Once you have completed an approved notary course, you can submit your application to the Dept. of State. You will have to provide your course completion certificate with your application. Once your application is approved you will be able to schedule and take the state exam.

  • How long do I have to complete the course?

    You will have 6-months unlimited access to the notary course and bonus material. 

  • Can I take this course if I’m renewing my commission?
